Lucia Curatolo-Boylan

Lucia is currently serving her second two-year term on CEC31.
Since her early days as President of the Parent Association she has been deeply committed to working collaboratively in order to create a community of engaged, informed, and dedicated families that change the educational opportunities for our children. So, running to be part of the Community Education Council seemed like a natural fit. With four children enrolled in elementary school she became a parent leader, in order advocate for the needs of not only her own children but those across Staten Island.
Every child should be guaranteed exceptional educational opportunities and advocacy is the first step in making that a possibility. As the IEP parent representative on the council she has used her voice to escalate the issues our special needs families face day to day and continues to work towards a time where no special needs family needs to fight for the basic rights and education they deserve.
She is so proud to be part of the amazing group of parent leaders on the 2019-21 Community Education Council of District 31.
