Mission & Vision Statement

The mission of the Community Education Committee of District 31 as an advisory board is to promote the achievement of educational standards and objectives relating to the instruction of students. Our vision is that the Council ensures that parents have a voice by providing input and comment to the Chancellor and the Panel for Educational Policy regarding the needs of our district and DOE policy.

We serve as liaisons to the School Leadership Teams, review the district’s educational programs and assess their impact on student achievement, approve zoning lines for district schools, and submit evaluation of the District Superintendent. Our Community Education Council provides continuous hands-on leadership and support for public schools.
